Went to New York fashion week for the first time.

well kinda.. my job sent me to New York for a convention and it just so happened to be at the end of NYFW Fall/Winter shows, synchronicity at its finest. The perfect optics for this brand I’m tryna spread. This is the perfect chance to get around fashion people, talk about what I’m trying to do and get some stone cold New York feedback.

surprisingly, every time I showed people my samples or explain the concept of the brand. I always got good feedback honestly to this day, I don’t think I’ve had one person. Tell me "nah this isn’t for me" Even in New York, which is known for being notoriously a dickhead city.

I didn’t catch any fashion shows nor did I even know where to look, but I did me a lot of cool fashion kids hanging out in soho.I think Soho is my favorite Part of Manhattan, I feel like I will find my tribe hanging out in so every time. The Rick store, The Margella store, Round 2 and even the golf store all one minute apart from each other.A dream.

I also have a lot of family in New York, so I took this opportunity to see them as well. Show them the brand catch up. It wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t.

A part of this I’m learning is just getting out in the field talking to the people seeing what is going on in the heads of other people like you, bouncing ideas back-and-forth getting inspired by some random people on the street.I think that’s what makes New York special. There’s an abundance of that everywhere..

I brought some of my samples with me and I got a friend named Ryan who’s sick with the camera so I made sure to set up a photo shoot because how often do you get to take advantage of the New York skyline?
