“I Do Porn, But I Don’t Just Have Sex with Anyone” - @therealashleex

Every winter for Thanksgiving or Christmas, I visit my mom in Virginia. She moved away a couple of years back, and it’s the only time Mike and I really get to see her and eat some home cooked food. This is also my first winter as a brand owner, and I’m fresh off my first drop. We did well at the icy market, selling a lot of t-shirts, socks, and hats, but we still had a bunch of stuff to sell and almost no content at all. I’m really good at coming up with concepts and designs, but when it comes to creating content, something seems to cripple me. The hardest part about owning a brand so far has been creating content, having nice pictures, and engaging videos. My Instagram account has almost no following rn , so I need more than pictures with the products on the floor if I’m going to make this work.

My brother Mike would honestly make the perfect model. He’s 6'2, 200 pounds, with broad shoulders. 

I have another brother, my youngest, who’s 67, 220 pounds—a massive guy. He would also make a great model because he has such a deep complexion, he’s tall, has an extremely unique look, and most importantly, he was free.

I was going to be in Virginia for four days, just spending time with family. Now that I’m a brand owner, I feel like there’s always something I could be doing, even if I’m on vacation. I could be utilizing this different environment to add to the brand in whatever way I wasn’t able to back home. My brothers are free, and the weather is a lot better in Virginia in November than it is in Illinois. I brought some gear with me, including the IDJHSWA camera. Mike got the drone. No one is going to do the work for you . No one wants this to work like I do. We also don’t have the money to pay for a professional photographer rn. There’s nothing else to do, so I said Fuck it . We’re going to have our first photo shoot…
