I DONT JUST HAVE SEX WITH ANYONE

IDJHSWA in Paris : Our own Showroom.. - @HELLOGBENGA

How did we even get here? We’ve only been in business for less than a year, and we’ve barely done more than one or two online drops. So how the hell are we getting invited to Paris already?

Shout out to my guy Michael James, aka Drip Lord out of San Fran. Met him once at Barneys post-COVID, kept the relationship alive online. He saw the brand awareness moves we were making in Miami, vibed with the vision, and thought it’d be fire for us to show in Paris. So that’s what we did. Sometimes there’s no gatekeepers, just people who’ve built real relationships before you. I didn’t feel bad about being invited to Paris. When you hear “fashion week,” you think runway shows and big name brands, but none of that scared me. Even though we were new and pretty much only selling tees, I packed up all my “not having sex with” T-shirts and went for it.

Jesse, EMP, Trevor, myself, and Brad took off for Paris. Jesse and EMP are longtime homies—we’ve been wilding together for years. Paris was just another chapter. First time meeting Brad (he’s Jesse’s friend), but he jumped right in to help set up the showroom and catch all the behind-the-scenes footage. Me and Trevor—second trip together, but first time out the country.

The trip was lit from the jump. We were on the same plane as Joe Freshgoods, got to give him his flowers before takeoff. Not even 12 hours in, we’re at a 424 party hosted by Yes Julz, and Trevor got a fire pic in the “Not Having Sex With” tee for Outlander Magazine post. Ran into a bunch of my LA friends and some of my favorite YouTubers. Silencio was so hot and packed.

Honestly, we were a little nervous about the showroom. When we first saw pics, it looked like a regular hotel room. Thought we might’ve gotten finessed into flying to Paris just to hang up clothes in a Marriott. But once we got there, we saw how each brand flipped their rooms into a universe. We tapped in, made our space dope, and honestly—I think we had the best showroom there. Some brands had been doing this for years, and it was just our first time. Still, we killed it.

Saw so many celebs, so many IG baddies, so many of my favorite YouTubers. The vibe was crazy. The whole trip just showed me that IDJHSWA really could go worldwide. Even in France, people felt the concept and the mission. A lot of folks would’ve played it safe and not took the opportunity being a new brand, but I’m not pussy..
